Yes, I am perplexed as to what fans don't grasp about that. Uncut means just that. Some people just want to complain.BatMite wrote:All episodes are uncut! Warner wouldn't announce if it weren't true.Millionaire Playboy wrote:Obviously, the anticipation for this release is huge. With all of the talk of what "uncut" means and what may be included and may not, I am reminded of when CBS released The Fugitive series on DVD several years back. They could not get releases for all the music and replaced some of the original scores with synthesizer sounds and all the Fugitive fans went ballistic. It caused such outrage among the fans that CBS went back to the drawing board (or sound board in this case) and eventually re-released the DVDs with all original music restored.
So... what happens if WB runs into the same problems and has to replace some music, or heaven forbid, edit out scenes with certain actors (like the Bat-Climb cameos)? I kind of expect to see the old disclaimer indicating that "some of the original music has been replaced' as that seems to be very common for vintage TV releases. Will the batfans freak if it is only minor replacements (like The Fugitive fans did)? Or will it be accepted as a necessary evil to get the remastered official release?

Every episode will be just as it was when it aired on its original release date. Hopefully, that's clear enough for all. The "In Color" pre-tags, the "Next week ..." villain teases. Both Leslie Gore songs. Etc.
Boy, some "fans" are sure sucking the fun out of, what should be, a joyous time for people who love this series.

I ordered through Amazon and they did not bill me yet I was told on here that they bill when they ship it out!!
Why pay for something when they don't even have it in stock yet. It comes out on November 11th 2014 Thats when they should bill me in November when they get it in stock and ship it out!!

If you pay with Paypal, the money will come out right away. I wouldn't do that on a pre-order because since you paid you are locked in- it may be less elsewhere in the time until its released.
If you use a debit/credit card on wbshop they will pre-authorize your card for the amount [a temporary hold for 2-3 days] to ensure its a valid card. then the charge drops off and then you'll get the actual charge when the item ships in Nov. Amazon doesn't do a pre-auth, they just charge you when it ships.

I totally agree. I know it has been a very long and trying wait but I think we are getting more than we could have hoped for. It is finally here and I would love to view it at a party thrown specifically for this release with other REAL fans.LA Batfan wrote:Every episode will be just as it was when it aired on its original release date. lol, actually I do prefer vinyl when listening to older music, 70s, and 80s...There is just something about the pure sound of it...Not all this perfect clear digital stuff... Of course I don't listen to much modern music..Spikor1982 wrote:Not staring an argument, but does this mean you only listen to 60s albums on LPs and not CDs?, or movies only on VHS? Very strange to me.chelray1 wrote:yeah to each his own. I wouldnt watch Star Trek any other way, than the way it was intended. Full screen 4x3 on a CRT Tube TV.. I will not even be getting the blu rays. The show was filmed in 4x3 for CRT Color TVs. NOT HDTVs. I HATE watching 4x3 shows on a 16x9 TV.. (I HATE THE BLACK BARS TO THE LEFT AND RIGHT - VERY DISTRACTING IN MY OPINION). and I sure wouldnt do a wide zoom and crop the top and bottom just to fill the screen..thats not right either!!!
Anyways the show was meant to be watched on a FULLSCREEN COLOR CRT TV and thats how I intend to watch it.
I have s SONY 32" Inch CRT that has a fantastic picture and I always watch any tv show that was filmed in 4x3 on it!! For me, I enjoy it the most that way, not on an HDTV...
Sorry to say you are really missing out on amazing clarity and crisp visuals here. I still have one 4:3 TV and about 13 vcr's because I love vintage video formats, but man you are just kidding yourself here.
I don't like black bars either so with my hdtv I just use the full and justify options, doesn't bother me in the least on stuff that wasn't filmed in WS.
and no I dont watch VHS. VHS could be played on a 4x3 TV as well as DVDs..However Blu Rays CANT be played on a CRT Tube TV..If Blu rays could be played on it, then I would buy the blu rays. Its not about the format of the media, its about watching it in its fullscreen in its proper aspect..
So you crop the top and bottom off of the 4x3 so it fills your 16x9 widescreen? That should be a crime...lol..Thats what HUB did with Batman on Reruns..very sad...

Well, I wasn't expecting this so soon.
Looks like you can pre-order the first season by itself already.

I guess what I'm asking is if the sizzle reel is full 1080p HD?
Re: Batman TV series DVD set in 2014!!
The original had an HD button in the corner IIRC.
In any case, let's not worry about the discs, WB knows what they are doing

As for length of episodes. I think 27 is too long. Bewitched episodes from that season ran about 25:40
