I'd really like to read unused scripts or script treatments, proposals, etc. I know that one site that was referenced on here, had a two-face script proposal, maybe it's been updated, it seems like a good reference site.
batgirlbat-trap.com has a few write-ups on script changes for certain epiaodes.

As far as a desired "extras" list, I figure the contents of the 2-disc set with the screen tests, along with the Batgirl pilot and ERA PSA. I may be willing to part with my ORIGINAL Holy Batmania set, PM me if interested...

I'm still unsure about something. Yvonne was apparently involved with the rerelease of the program in syndication in 1989, but when I rented Holy Batmania from Netflix, she was nowhere to be found on there. Does her stuff show up anywhere? Are there two versions of Holy Batmania? I think her name may have even still been in the credits of Holy Batmania but it's been a while since I rented it, so I'm not sure anymore. I just know that I've seen a video clip and a picture somewhere indicating that she took part in it.

Or maybe she took part in what aired on TV, and perhaps when they gathered stuff for the DVD, they couldn't come to an agreement with her.

Questions for those "in the know" about this set:

1. Is it confirmed that the BD will have English subtitles on the episodes? I can't imagine they wouldn't but there are still some BDs being issued without them.

2. Has Warner addressed the concerns about 12/14 episodes per disc? This does seem excessive to me and I think there are legitimate questions being raised about the potential for compromised quality from reduced bit rates.

No, Warners hasn't addressed the concern because there shouldn't be any concern. I have from Warner Archive on Blu-ray BATMAN: THE BRAVE AND THE BOLD SEASON 1 and there are thirteen episodes on each disc. The set looks wonderful. It plays perfectly on my Blu-ray player and the sound is absolutely terrific. Part of why the "episode to disc" count is high on this upcoming Batman series set is to help keep the cost of the darned thing reasonable for people to buy it. The more discs you have, the more money it is going to cost.

Warner Home Video is not going to do anything to compromise the look or integrity of the shows. They also have on Blu-ray BEWARE THE BATMAN! with all 13 episodes on one disc. Now, these episodes are a little shorter in length than the Adam West/Burt Ward BATMAN but the Blu-ray disc can handle it just fine.

I've read the show is complete with "bumpers"... But what exactly is a bumper? Thanks for any explanation...

9 hours high definition on a dual layer Blu-ray disc so 14 episodes will fit easily.

The bumpers are:
#1 - The five second Batman In Color bumper that started each episode when it originally ran on ABC with just a snippet of the theme playing

#2 - The next week villain promo that aired at the end of the two-part story and just before the ending credits began.

This is how it originally aired on ABC and then in syndication during the 1970's.

I really dont have time to watch many extras. The only thing I really wanted was a clearer version of the BatGirl Pilot and some commentaries..

other than that, it will just be nice to have an official dvd release to watch..Hopefully the colors will pop!

Thanks for the links, I appreciate it. However, I've seen those and was more thinking along the lines of the unused stories. There was a post about it on the old site, it was from Dozier's collection...there was a list of scripts and/or outlines. Those would be great to find online.

cheers

We've got a discussion going in another thread but one of the unfilmed scripts is being produced as a comic book this Fall.

Is there ANY possibility of making a reissue of Holy Batmania from '04 happen WITH the Batgirl goodies? Cards with the blu-ray are my 'exhibit A...'. ;)
