while I ve been enjoying my BLU-RAY BAT-SET...I noticed a major goof !!! ...in the episode "DIZZONER THE PENGUIN""....during the convention hall BAT-FIGHT,,,,,announcer DAVID DOOLEY approaches BATMAN for an interview...and asks him if there ia anuthing he would like to say to the audience !!!????...its followed by silence then david says of course BATMAN..maybe a little later.......whats missing is BATMAN commenting THANK YOU FOR THE OPPURTINITY DAVID...BUT AS YOU CAN SEE IM A LITTLE BUSY RIGHT NOW. !!! obviously this was overdubbed as you can tell on the other copies of the show...I wonder how they made this error on the BLU-RAYS ???unless these prints are even before they overdubbed any scenes ???? will keep an eye out for other mistakes
If its missing, then I can only surmise that going back to the original source elements inadvertently meant going to something that didn't have the overdub.
I remember when the first season of Moonlighting came out, there was an uproar when an episode that used the William Tell Overture for its climax had different music and people assumed this was a case of music replacement. It turned out that in going back to the original source element, they used a copy with a score that had been replaced at the last minute by the one used in the broadcast that featured William Tell.
I'll see if that happens on mine but that is annoying. I'm not retrieving my boot from the garbage just for that thought.
Hi,
I'm new to the board. I checked the Nick at Night broadcast and the other set I had for this episode. That piece of dialogue is missing from both of those. I'd love to hear it though, and it's disappointing if WB left out something like that. Hopefully it's a singular occurrence.
My episode recorded off FX has it. But it is not on others.
He flies and fights-BATMAN!
Purity and virtue-BATMAN!
Cowards run away!
Batman saves the day!
Also, Boy Wonder Robin.
Batman and Robin-caped crusaders at night!
BIFF! POW! BAM! BATMAN!
I only caught the tail end of the Stu Show (read the thread on the board too late) and they got an email from a listener saying that the end of Marsha's Scheme Of Diamonds is missing on the DVDs. Has anyone watched that episode yet?
In a word, ouch. The entire tag sequence showing Aunt Hilda at the Home School of Economics is gone.
I'm sorry but as much as I've found to praise this set, Warner is going to HAVE to make a replacement disc for this. This is simply not acceptable. Someone fell asleep at the switch on this.
And now I'm hearing there's a missing scene in the Astin Riddler episode too. This is *really* sucking the enthusiasm I felt on Tuesday out completely to find out there are screw-ups like this that should not have happened. With all due respect to certain parties, a little less time spent on those extras that I frankly have no interest in, and a lot more time spot-checking the EPISODES would have been welcome.
