That Batman 1966 series was so iconic and responsible for so much that really can't be named here... I will NEVER be embarrassed of being a big fan of it!

I can't say I was ever embarrassed about 1966 Batman. Not only was I a huge fan back then, but so were all my friends! School was nothing but talking about the previous night's episode, favorite episodes and characters, acting out Batman on the playground during recess, sharing and showing our early Batman collections, drawing our own cartoons, etc. It was a great time for us. I think it rubbed off on me later when I got older and discovered rock music and became a hardcore KISS fan. As I read somewhere once - Gene Simmons looks like Batman's evil twin brother after a night of partying and carousing!
Funny as that sounds they somehow mutually complimented each other keeping my interest to this day. When I think about it, Batman not only got me into KISS later, but earlier got me into Universal's Classic Monsters, Hammer Horror films, the Munsters, the Addams family, and those long-lost great weekend shock theater shows we all used to watch in our local markets (I tip my hat to the memory of Sir Graves Ghastly in Detroit).
