As the years passed, I saw different tattoos, and began to wonder how I could dress mine up. Then, in August, we lost the actress that first brought Batgirl to life. Yvonne lost her battle with cancer, and we Batman fans the world wide mourned. I had thought about it in the past, but this cemented my choices.
I decided to add a flock of bats around the current tattoo, but one was going to be different. So, under the recommendation of some friends, off to Pinchnpoke tattoo I went.
Photo 2 shows the results of the first sitting. Flock of bats outlined, and the one "special" bat on the right, just above the bat logo. This is the shape of the bat that Yvonne wore on her costume.
Last week, I dropped in to have the finishing ink applied. I had the smaller bats colored in, and the larger ones shaded in, so there appeared to be a reflection of light from the original logo tat. Yvonne's costume was purple, so I had that shaded in as well. The end result is what you see in photo 3.
