I was ordering a few things from Figures Toy Co. and realized I had all the pieces before me (leftover bits here and a few bargains online) to create quick customs of Clock King and Louie the Lilac. I was only planning to do Louie if i could find a purple suit, but then I saw this purple trenchcoat!

Latest customs!

My latest customs are the 60s Teen Titan, Harlequin (also known as the Joker's Daughter and Duela Dent, mysterious supposed-daughter of Harvey) and Clock King.

On one of the action figures Facebook pages, a collector recently photographed his 8" Bat villains on a miniature fire escape curio shelf. There are currently several on eBay (at various prices and postage rates), and also at Wallmart and art supply stores.

Really cool for displays and photo sessions! I just ordered mine!

Amazing, Ian, Simply amazing!!!!!! I'm currently turning a "G.I. Jane into a 12" Bat Girl. It's taking a while to find the right fabric, but the patterns are already drafted out.

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the water, here's another shark for you guys:

Image

The ladder was made out of thin rope tied around bamboo skewers (forgot the "Bat Ladder" label though - holy oversight!), and the shark has some thin wire running through its mouth to hold it onto Batman's leg. This shot looks pretty good, but the background is just a monitor with a screenshot of the movie, so I decided to take it one step further...

Image

...and bring the whole thing to the beach! That's a real ocean in the background, real sky, real sunlight - it was only a few feet away from the shore, but thankfully nothing fell off during the shoot (the skewers were thick enough that the hands could grip them really well, plus there's another wire holding his ankle onto the ladder just in case).

I have been padding out a regular female torso with flesh-coloured gaffer tape, but I can't make Ma's hips or thighs too wide because the Dementia Clown nurse's blue uniform, used as a template, isn't too wide.

The prison-striped fabric was a coup! An eBay search sourced a fabric remnant used in quilting. It was even photographed next to a ruler, so scale was obvious. And it was a local seller, so only a few dollars including postage.

I decided I couldn't wait any longer to have some more Catwomen join my "Batman '66" 8" action figures. Dorothy Gale, Mary-Ellen Walton and Nyota Uhura stand in for Julie Newmar, Lee Meriwether (in disguise as Miss Kitka) and Eartha Kitt.

Simply a spare "buy it now" Mego head on eBay. She was a little young, but the most potential.
