ROTCC Soundtrack CD pre-order Nov. 8

Post by Jim K, Bat fan »

Hi everyone,

I got an email from La-La Land Records that they will be releasing the soundtrack of ROTCC, and the pre-order starts today, November 8 @ 12 Noon PST (3:00pm EST for me!) The first copies will be "autographed by composers Kristopher Carter, Lolita Ritmanis and Michael McCuistion at no additional charge. Autographs are available while supplies last and are NOT guaranteed."

In addition, they are re-releasing the original 1966 movie soundtrack. Here are their notes on that release:

"While the program and master of this release is identical to our 2010 edition, this reissue features ALL-NEW exclusive liner notes by John Takis and eye-poppingly Bat-tastic art design by Jim Titus!"

Here is a link to the La-La Land site:

The new art work for the re-release of the movie soundtrack looks great! Sorry I wasn't able to capture a photo for us.

Just a quick update that there is a special 15% off now through November 15 on ALL titles (except the X-Files 3 CD box) including the new ROTCC. Autographed copies are still available.

I'll post this several places to see if I can get an answer on this, but the LLL release has always confused me with the statement on their bonus track. It reads, "features the bonus track “Submarine Battle,” in which Matessino cut together tracks to re-create the score to the submarine climax as heard in the film."

Now, I own the release. I've seen the movie hundreds of times. What are they speaking of? The submarine climax music is the track called, Attack and the fight on the deck ensues. If that's the scene they're talking about, their bonus track doesn't make sense. What other climax scene with the submarine could they mean?

Likewise thanks for the heads up John. I ordered a copy and little discount helps with the postage to England.
I did include a request for a Green Hornet release. That would make my day!

The music has elements of several TV shows from the 1960s including Lost in Space and Spider-Man 67 cartoon. There's even hints of the Get Smart music.

I presume Track 26 "Attack" on the expanded soundtrack does not match up exactly with what appeared onscreen, hence the recut Track 31 “Submarine Battle”, which does?

On my earlier release, Track 21 is "Attack"/"Take it in Tow" combined, and the only bonus tracks are "Dark Eyes", "Plaisir d'Amour", "Again" and "Batman Theme".
"Holy nostalgia, Batman!"
