I plan to seek out the YouTube tutorial that Scott Bayles has posted. It will most likely work for other shoes and boots as well. Or so I have reason to believe.Batman65 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 31, 2017 3:44 am Duran, has been a long established company as Scott said. If I had the money, I would get their bat boots in a second! If you want the original, that is where you go. Unfortunately, for me, I couldn't afford to do that, so I made my own per the Scott Bayles tutorial on you tube. It worked for me, but at some point, Durans are on my wish list.

It’s not that bad, some general sewing skill is all you need. Nobody would do it for me. They said “I was too picky” lol, I had no idea how to sew, so I bought a cheap used machine for like $40,watched a few YT videos, and went to town. The Bayles tutorial is great for somebody on a budget as I was. Mine actually turned out pretty good for someone who didn’t know what he was doing..lol. Make sure you get a good pattern of your leg though. What I did was go raid the kitchen and wrap my leg and shoe In cling wrap, and then duct tape, this way, nothing sticks to you or your clothes..lol. Next, I drew a line straight up the front and straight down the back then measured the taper. Did it look ridiculous, YEP! I did get an exact pattern of my leg though and these boots will not fit anyone except me. Make sure to allow enough for seams and you should be ok. I hope this helps. Let us see how they turn out. Good luck!Parker Gabriel wrote: ↑Sat Aug 25, 2018 10:09 pmI plan to seek out the YouTube tutorial that Scott Bayles has posted. It will most likely work for other shoes and boots as well. For myself, I would seek the boots in black. Batman is really supposed to frighten his enemies.
