Hornet Collectibles

Does anyone know of a comprehensive book or list of GH collectibles?

I do not believe I've seen a dedicated book on TGH collectibles, but its a book that's a long time in coming, since the character was one of the first of the Great Depression-era heroes to have extensive merchandising based on the radio show and the serials (and eventually comic books).

For the most comprehensive study of the character overall, I would recommend The Green Hornet: A History of Radio, Motion Pictures, Comics and Television by Martin Grams, Jr. (and still available on amazon).

Of course, the longtime collectibles site Uncle Odie's Collectibles ( http://www.uncleodiescollectibles.com/h ... index.html ) has images of many GH items based on the TV series.

There's a definitive history of the Green Hornet co-written by Martin Grams and Terry Salmonson which has a list of every company that received a license in 1966.
Literally any question you can think of is answered in that book.
It's also worth having a look at Hakes auction website.

Yes the "Martin Grams and Terry Salmonson" book has a modified list of the official licensing merchandising paperwork seen here. Also in these magazines show GH collectibles and prices back in the day, and of course the FB group "The Green Hornet Vintage Toys" is a great reference place.

Some really great stuff here! Thanks. My wife was asking the other day if they ever made any collectibles. I knew there had been but didn't know how much since the show didn't have quite the following as Batman back then. Cheers!

That top right issue of Model and Toy Collector is the one that had my Green Hornet collection in it. I remember when that came out i was so excited i thought i was going to burst! Back before the internet getting your stuff in a magazine was big time. They also reprinted the article in their MTC annual.

I wish that Moebius or some model kit company would release an accurate model of the Hornet and Kato. Perhaps the Hornet could have alternate Serial and TV style Masks. I know that D'D pay money for it!

I saw Polar Lights was releasing the Black Beauty again in coming months, if you missed it the last time around.
