The Classic Golden Age Mezco Batman is pretty Sprang centric, it's about as close as I've ever seen.

You may well be right, Andy. It's just that some of us have to live on a smaller budget. Mezco prices are, sadly, out of a lot of fans' price range. I'm looking at custom making one from various parts of the FTC/Mego figures.

I like the concept. I would prefer it if the face was a little less villainous looking, but this is one of the more fun things I’ve seen of the non-1966 Batman items!

I sold my Mego scale version recently. Then this "McFarlane" version popped up.
Like in Year One, Bruce had to learn the hard way. That might make an interesting story

The McFarlane is better than I thought it would be but the face does look like a blonde Riddler.
I'm all for toy companies that are in for fun.

I'm at Heroes Con this weekend, I was walking the floor and there are more toys than I've seen in the past-- but someone asked me if there were any Toy Companies making reveals here-- it's not that kind of show-- this is mostly comic artists and vintage comics. Quite a few early Batman's-- there are at least three BATMAN #3's in the room but the prices have gone bonkers-- $10k, $16k and $28k were the three I looked at.
Yikes.
