Missed that one, too. She was 96. Imagine, George Reeves passed 64 years ago.

Late getting the news of this. "Superman and the Mole Men" was my personal favorite George Reeves adventure and Phyllis was a big part of that. I loved her no nonsense tough reporter persona of Lois Lane during her first season run of the show ( my favorite season.)

I got to meet her in 2007 at an autograph show. She was incredibly sweet and told some fun stories during our encounter. Somebody came up to her table and stared at the photos and cluelessly asked if she worked with George Reeves. She didn't bat an eye and politely said, " Yes, I played Lois Lane in the first season of Superman... the good one [season]." Insert drop the mic moment here.

I always thought that Phyllis best captured the hard-edged essence of Lois' character and still enjoy catching reruns like I did this past Sunday on H&I. RIP, Miss Lane.
