Did Todd say anything about more 1966 Batman or TV superheroes like George Reeves and Lynda Carter?

Frank,
I was breaking up every 10 to 15 seconds. I arrived when this was up, so I grabbed it.

Whole thing is up at ToyArk-- here's a slightly larger pic of Manga Batman-- which is the only "Classic" or Retro Batman figure in the line. No George Reeves or Lynda Carter stuff. I don't know if the Reeves license would be as convoluted as getting the Adam West likeness was-- WB owns the TV Series and DC Comics-- but there's no mention of it in any of the licensing books.

IMO this Manga Batman is better than the Super Powers version they did, but it's still a miss in my book. Belt is wrong and he's way to over muscled.

Should I or shouldn't I? I did :) Much nicer than the Super Powers version and that red Batarang <3
He flies and fights-BATMAN!
Purity and virtue-BATMAN!
Cowards run away!
Batman saves the day!
Also, Boy Wonder Robin.
Batman and Robin-caped crusaders at night!
BIFF! POW! BAM! BATMAN!

Had this in my cart for about four hours now-- I love Kuwata's Batman-- the DC Direct statue is great- I passed on the Super Powers figure because it didn't work for me, not 100% on board for this-- I am glad he has the short ears. I think the red batarang is the biggest enticement which really makes the figure work. I wish he wasn't so muscled.

The platinum version of Manga Batman looks even better. The way I remember it.

I really, really want to like this figure but the over-muscled body type just doesn’t remotely resemble the athletic look of the manga.

Agreed BB.
McFarlane repainting another figure.
I get it, get the most out of that design/ mold, but similar to the Super Powers figure the body doesn’t really fit the original tone.
It is still a really cool figure.

Ben and Jimmy you hit the nail on the head for me-- I love this character-- Kuwata's Batman is something I hunted down while I was in Japan many years ago and I've always loved his Eight Man series. I passed on the super powers figure because the ears are all wrong. I think the "charm" of Super Powers is the re-use of the same bodies-- I'm old enough that I wasn't into them when they came out the first time around so they aren't something that I have any attachment too.

I still have this figure in my cart at BBTS- I'm waiting for Lord Death Man to chime in with something that gets me to pull the trigger ;)

I'll let you know what it's like when I get it. The DC statue is still the Shogun of Kuwata Batman for now. What I'd really like to see is a Kuwata Robin :)
He flies and fights-BATMAN!
Purity and virtue-BATMAN!
Cowards run away!
Batman saves the day!
Also, Boy Wonder Robin.
Batman and Robin-caped crusaders at night!
