Club members get a discount and depending on the car the average is $20.

I'm guessing the next exclusive is the 1968 GSW Batmobile and Batboat set.

Thanks! that's a pretty good deal. As I've said, the few cars I have bought from their store are really nice. Shipping is a bit on the slow side, but the product is tops. All right-- I signed up!

The Batmobile and Batboat gift set would be awesome, that was one of my all time favorite toys as a kid!

CORGI UPDATE.jpg
The Batmobile is on the chart-- the one at the top is the current release for this month-- there is no mention that there will be a restriction on the number of Matte Batmobiles a member can order-- and on the regular releases there is no limit-- so we'll see how these go.

Andy,

Corgi Club posted this about a limited production run because there's not that many members and I know I read somewhere that they would be limited to one per membership.

You absolutely can pre-order the glossy one, but the Matte one isn't available until October.

Great news and thanks to this message board I got to know of the reissue of the Batmobile! In my childhood this was an expensive toy so we could not afford one then. Now approximately 57 years later I will have my moment when I unwrap my whole new Corgi Batmobile! :D

From Corgi

If you thought that the great news re the Batmobile was over, think again!

As part of the licence negotiations with Warners, we needed to get the Batmobile out to as many people as possible, so we've been working with our friends in the Corgi team to develop a version that they can sell to their 'bricks and mortar' retailers and also on their website. The link (see below) went live today.

This version of the Batmobile is different to the Corgi Model Club editions in that it is the later version with the combined tow hook and turbo exhaust. Batmobile fans will know that the more desirable early production runs of the Batmobile (for both the matt and gloss black versions) didn't have a hook. This is because when the Batmobile first went into production there was nothing to hook it up to ~ a hook only became necessary when Corgi launched the Batboat. More on the Batboat later...

The Corgi version also differs from the Corgi Model Club editions in that it comes in the simpler later window box ~ which is authentic to the combined hook/exhaust version. Both of the Corgi Model Club editions come with the far more elaborate winged plinth, similar to the first Corgi Bond DB5.

We'll be releasing more pics of the Corgi Model Club Batmobile later this week.

We also thought it might be nice to ring the changes and give Batmobile collectors something more, so we have changed the beacon cage on the Corgi version to gold. We know that many of you were asking for that.

So from no Batmobiles to THREE ~ who'd have thought that would be possible a year ago?

Lastly, we mentioned the Batboat... and we can reveal that we're currently in the development stage for that one! No promises and certainly no release dates yet as we're in the early stages ~ but suffice to say that if/as/when we can get the a Corgi Model Club edition of the Batboat into production, it will include the rare-as-hens-teeth coupler so that it can be hitched up to the early Batmobiles ~ ie the CMC editions!

All exciting stuff huh?

The gloss black Corgi Model Club edition is available for preorder here:
https://corgimodelclub.com/collections/ ... ss-edition

The gloss black later hook-exhaust version is available for pre-order from Corgi here:
https://uk.corgi.co.uk/products/batmobi ... in-rt26701

One more thing: because Corgi have a wider worldwide distribution than we do, it will be available for all of the countries they currently support ~ including some of those we do not.

Is this tow hook version available for pre-order on a US site, or only from the UK site?

They haven’t said, but Target and Walmart or obvious. Not so obvious is BBTS, Amazon, Entertainment Earth. Maybe even comic book shops.

More news

It's been a long time coming but the upcoming matt black Batmobile will be only the second Corgi Model Club members-only exclusive. The first one was the limited edition matt gold Corgi 261 Bond DB5 ~ which was the lowest production run (just 5000 copies) of any Corgi Bond model ever!

The matt black Batmobile isn't a limited production run but it is strictly limited to Club members. You have to be a Corgi Model Club subscriber/member to get one. For Club members who are up to date with their collection it will be your October delivery. But don't worry if you're a Club member and some way behind as we will reserve you one!

Unlike the matt gold Bond DB5, the matt black Batmobile will have its own certificate, complete with our new Exclusive Club Edition logo.

The third Exclusive Club Edition will be the silver grille Corgi 270 Bond DB5, which is currently in development. And a word of warning, we're being really fussy about the tooling for this one, which could well delay its arrival into early 2025. More news on that coming soon.

We also plan to announce some upcoming additions to the collection as we haven't done that for a while ~ which may well include yet another Exclusive Club Edition of a Corgi that many of you have been crying out for!

But no clues just yet as it is currently only in development. Exciting times ahead for Club members so make sure you sign up if you haven't already done so!

The latest joining offer is always on our website: www.corgimodelclub.com
