About 6 months ago I was the first one to pre-order at my local Hallmark store the climbing dynamic duo. A week ago the store called me that I can pick it up on the 12th. I get an email from Hallmark that's ready to pick up at the store. So I go to the store today and it's sold out. They said they only got one they sold to someone else and they didn't know when they were getting more. The manager who was the one who took down my name for the pre-order said I wasn't on a list so I showed them the email from Hallmark and that they called me I can pick up my pre-order on the 12th. I told the manager it was a poorly run store.

I forgot to go get it! Argh
Just got them. Sold out otherwise…
I'm surprised it sold out that fast because I saw many other new ornaments there. The incompetent store I went to said they received 1 and 1 for display, called me they had reserved it for me, and then when I get there they tell me they sold it to somebody else and deny I was on a wish list. I showed them my email I got from Hallmark to pick it up from their store and my phone shows they called me too. But it's a fairly common item that I can easily find somewhere else.
My brother and his wife, visiting from Japan for my son's wedding last weekend, sent me a pic of the ornament at The Paper Store-- they went to get some cards or something and came across this. They said they had a display and underneath were 4-5 of the climbing Batman and Robins. They offered to pick one up for me but I passed. So they are showing up.

That's terrible.
I've pretty much given up on pre-orders of anything-- if I find one after it comes out-- great-- if I don't-- more money in my pocket for other things that I enjoy more than objects like vacations or family dinners out.
Pre-orders just get to be a pain. And no way I'll drive to a store-- gave up doing that in the 80s

I completed the wishlist form and gave it to them in August. this way, they ensured that they ordered enough for the store. Can you get one?
6 months ago I did pre-order on the wish list for wall scaling wonders. This month I had an email from Hallmark that can pick it up at the Hallmark store I designated. The Hallmark store manager called me to tell me it was in and I told her I would pick it up first day Saturday the 12th as she could not sell it earlier. But when I went to pick it up the incompetent manager only received one a month ago she's claims and sold it to someone else even though I had it reserved. I told her it was a poorly run store.
I ordered one someplace else. Also I made a complaint to Hallmark.
When I looked at their wall of ornaments, I so know boxes for wall scaling wonders but lots of boxes for the other ornaments. The Star Wars trash compactor one was an interesting ornament that moves the walls.
I added the Clark Kent ornament. They had a couple of those, but there are Hallmark collector/resellers in my area. One was returning some 10 ornaments on Sunday and swapping for others. Seemed like she couldn’t flip them overnight. They now have a sign that ornament sales are final.
I never bought the Batboat or Batcopter due to the price point versus the 1/50 scale Hot Wheels version of the same. Anyone else skip any of the 66 ornaments?
I did, Lou. The Batcave reissue is the first/only one I’ve purchased. I signed up to get one (waitlisted) when it was first released but never was contacted.
