Is it possible that, based on the Adam head sculpt, and cloth costumes, that these are not much more that Hot Toys knock-offs? That would explain the limited mobility in the elbows. It would not, however, explain Robin’s expression.

During season two, Burt did put on more muscle and his shoulders did broaden from the thin build from early in season 1 and publicity photos from that early period, such as the one this horrible sculpture is based on.

Most modern years (21st century) '66-based figures and the model kit look nothing like the lead actors, whether one is talking about Mattel, McFarlane, FTC, etc. 1:6 scale figures generally captured the best likeness, but even Hot Toys--by far the best '66 figures ever produced--was not perfect.

Oh, and I have no problem with Ward at all.

This should have a removable face and it’s actually Molly- THAT would explain the expression. My YIKES comment was actually for the adam pose and expression in the first photo. That doesn’t look right either.

Yes, had not noticed that until you pointed it out, Andy, but that looks more like “Molly” than Bruce under the Batman cowl.

It was the first time I got a good look at it too.
If you traveled back 20 years ago I would have been all over it-- but today I'm a lot more restrictive.
I really wish the bigger one was split up and they removed the Batmobile base-- I would buy a Scott Sebring Batman statue but I don't want the squashed Batmobile or deranged Robin.

We have all seen Clickbait articles featuring board members in the photos on stories about the 1966 TV show. To those who don’t know, the people in the photos ARE Batman, Robin, Batgirl… .

Here’s one of those clickbait articles that uses images of board members/cosplayers instead of Adam, Burt and Yvonne. (Interesting clickbait headline, btw.)

I think this could be why the sculpts for some of the TV show line are off: the sculptors know nothing about the show and they base their sculpts, in part, on images they find like this, which purports to depict the actual show actors.

It would explain why Egghead, Otto’s Mr. Freeze, Eartha’s Catwoman, the Joker, Riddler and Penguin are all pretty good likenesses, but Adam, Burt and Julie are off. There aren’t any “confusing” likenesses of the above villains - where actors may look similar (as in the case of Julie and Lee) - or widely circulated images of cosplayers whose costumes are so accurate and they look enough like the actors so as to confuse overseas sculptors.
