Got my two cases of Matte (Matt?) Black Batmobiles-- if you asked me to order you one check your DMs -- the boxes are identical to the original ones so I want to have the old shipping slaves get these out immediately. They look good, although as I said before I kind of don't think the Matt Version was a big want for me-- it would have been neater to have the red wheel version but that came in that horrible window box.
And to set the record straight on these cars and the club;
1- You can join the club now, you do have to select a car at a discounted price from a list of three. I chose the police car. You pay your membership fee ($20 or so) and they send you your kit.
2- You can then ORDER the Matt Batmobile, the gloss Batmobile, anything you want. You can order more than one.
3- You can cancel your membership at any time.
4- You do not have to order 43 cars to get the Batmobile.
5- The club is the most complicated one I've ever dealt with, tracking is nonsense. But you'll get your order about 14 days after placing it.
I just got the Imperial. Frank and I are working through the exterior color, which we’ve concluded is Moss gold metallic. On the full size car it has a gold metallic look, but up close, the green comes out. The car is a two door convertible with two riders, which can be Bruce and Dick. The interior will be converted to black to match the show car. While the show car is a ‘66, the Corgi is a 65, so the trunk and grill are slightly different, but pending anything else, this will work for me
Every box they've sent me has been smashed, Lou, but the interior boxes have been fine somehow.
Yup-- ships from UK to US then to you-- not the smoothest fastest delivery method but I guess Hornsby Hobbies doesn't keep any inventory here in the US for some reason.

Lou, is that the one being sold in the window box?
the window box is the one I'm more familiar with-- that was how most of my Corgi's came. Does anyone know if the red bat hubs actually ever shipped in a window box or had they switched over to the silver wheels or the red tires by then?
