I'm not from the USA myself but I've always liked to think that the Green Hornet characters were experiencing their adventures in Detroit. In my mind a hustling city, struggling with unemployment and debt, it's the perfect storm for criminals to be operating in and for a figure like the Hornet to emerge.

Interesting, but i've always imagined GH operating in New York. Still, its good to see a new GH project in the works! With Zahn and Anderson involved, it makes me think the property probably has more attention on it that we would guess.

In the 1966 TV show and in some literary iterations the city is known as "Central City" but from the beginning there as been the intimation that it was taking place in Detroit...the home of Trendle, Striker and WXYZ radio. Although...Detroit was never referred to by name to my knowledge.

Detroit is the original home for the Hornet. But, it is fiction and you can put the character anywhere that mobs were active. My second choice would be Chicago the home of the mobster Al Capone and agent Eliot Ness. I have posted this before but here is the outstanding Hornet documentary from the FizzFop1 YouTube channel.

I believe the TV series was firmly set in Detroit. At least, that's what the bibles we received said. All the stories Moonstone has done so far have been in Detroit. We all did a lot of research to make sure or stories fit the time and place. I hope you enjoy!
