Ill just add to what others in the collecting community are saying: I am never going to be ripped off, because there's no collectible I need to that degree. Long before this current situation, I occasionally bought 6-inch superhero action figures, but the point when the price moved closer to $30 per figure than not, I backed away with ease. The same applies to Corgi, or any of the other companies I currently buy items from time to time.

That’s similar to my investment strategy: Buy High, Sell low, make it up in volume!BiffPow wrote: ↑Wed Apr 16, 2025 8:34 amRandy and Andy:rsaffle wrote: ↑Tue Apr 15, 2025 8:34 pm It’s so hard to predict what will be hard to get and what wont. I bought all of the Ben Cooper Superhero figures in a lot to make sure I got Batman & Superman and I swear I see them every time I go to Target now. It seems to happen to me every time I buy more than one of something too.
My friend, Paul, and I call it “The Law.” There are multiple aspects/corollaries to “The Law, such as:
If you buy it, thinking they will be hard to get or will be a good investment, they will be plentiful and will drop in value;
If you wait for the right time and price, they will sell out and go for high prices on secondary markets;
If you bid on it, hoping to get it, you’ll be outbid (typically by a dollar or less);
If you don’t bid on it, believing you’ll get outbid anyway, it will sell for next to nothing.

Just got this-- problem might be averted after all.
We may have some really good news!
After a great deal of discussion and research in conjunction with our shipping experts, there is some confidence that we will be able to offer a TARIFF FREE postal shipping option that could be actioned very quickly.
US-based collectors will therefore hopefully be able to continue to receive Corgi Model Club models in the very near future TARIFF FREE!
However, this will require us to update our delivery system, which could take a few weeks. We’re therefore advising all US-based Corgi Model Club members to just PAUSE their membership until we’re ready to start shipping the models so you do not have to pay the tariffs.
We have seen a large amount of members CANCELLING their membership which we totally understand but given the ever changing developments we would urge you to reconsider and REACTIVATE your membership in your customer portal. Once you have reactivated you will be able to PAUSE your Corgi Model Club membership for a month, then wait until our announcement that we’re ready to start shipping again. You can reactivate your membership simply by logging into your online membership portal at www.corgimodelclubUSA.com
Note that because the tariff situation continues to be extremely fluid, if there are any further changes or updates we will let you know as soon as we possibly can.
ONE LAST THING, if you order any models from the Corgi Model Club collection using our current delivery system (which would be applicable for the tariffs), please use the UPS Express option at checkout which takes 2-5 days delivery and costs $25.
As long as you order before the end of this coming Friday (April 25th), the UPS delivery service will get them to you in the USA before the May 2nd tariff deadline. Unless you are willing to pay the additional tariffs please do not place an order after Friday April 25th until we get the new shipping service in place.
For further clarification, please email our Customer Services team at: enquiries@corgimodelclubusa.com
Thanks
We wish you all the best ~ and please keep following us on Facebook!
Warmest regards,
Corgi Model Club Team

Re: Tariffs increase Corgi Batboat to $85 plus postage
Glad to see everything end up working out OK price wise.
I must have had one of these when I was a kid but I don't remember it. I know even Lil' Andy was OCD enough to not be able to get past the idea of Batman and Robin in both the car and the boat AND the boat wouldn't have had much play value to me since we were city kids and had no pools (does it even float?).
Funny how the brain works-- I remember the Batmobile so well it was a must have, not so much with this one.

If I remember from my youth correctly, it floated, Andy, but listed to one side.

Mine floated in the tub, the decals even held up for a while. Just ordered.
