Prop improvements

Post by rsaffle »

I was approached by a collector and agreed to make some of my props for his extensive collection. Going back into some of my older props made it possible to make several improvements to them. I have the ability to 3D print in color now so they didn't require painting. I like to use matte filament because it helps to hide the layer lines. Also using silk chrome helps parts to shine.
The Binoculars, spray cans and transmitter are printed in color. The spray cans even rattle when shook. The umbrella was all printed with a steel handle for strength. The stripes were painted and has a good weight to it. The umbrella stickers are on a vinyl with a clear uv protective over layer. That is the same for my vote buttons.

This is so much fun!

Excellent work! Have you considered doing the original small Bat-gas canister, as used in "The Bookworm Turns" and "The Riddler's False Notion"?

Honestly, your work belongs on permanent display in a 1966 Batman museum exhibit, to flesh out the endless props which gave the series a character of its own beyond the vehicles and costumes (even as obviously important as vehicles & costumes are to the series).
