Looks like Adam doesn't have too much faith in Lynda's magic bracelets.

Interesting! I wonder if this came from one of the random eBay poster vendors who were selling these knock-offs a few years ago.

What’s the story on that, Ben? I had never seen one before. Were there legitimate posters out there, or was someone just ripping off artwork from the comic book?

They were totally bootlegged posters, from what I saw it looked like they were up-res'd web images. They held up from 6feet away but any closer and you were seeing pixels.

IMHO, in those situations, it kind of is what is, it's not as if they were ripping off commercially available versions - I don't support theft of art or IP, but in this instance I do feel like there was a fanboy-sincerity in the desire for those comic covers being turned into posters. The eBay certainly wasn't getting rich, but was definitely serving an audience for those posters that DC/WB weren't acknowledging at that moment.BiffPow wrote: ↑Sat Aug 09, 2025 7:09 pmBen Bentley wrote: ↑Fri Aug 08, 2025 9:24 pm
