This book sounds like the author wants to trash Cesar Romero.
I wrote the author about how Cesar Romero would invite Sheena actress Irish McCalla to Cuba where they escaped the Cuban revolution and showed him a picture of them together. And how in later years Irish and her son met Cesar at the airport and Cesar was traveling with a young woman but the author did not want to use the stories.

I don’t understand how someone can just assert Romero was gay. There were rumors (based mostly on his confirmed bachelorhood and no children), but he was also known (as opposed to have been rumored) to have dated actresses throughout his life.

One alleged interview where he “came out” was not published until after his death (so he couldn’t confirm or deny) and other interviews from the same source were, from what I’ve read, considered forgeries.

If he was, he was - but I have never read where that claim was based on anything more than a bare rumor, untethered to facts or proof.

The book is available now- the Introduction sets up the overall direction it'll take- the author is certainly going to lean into the actor's sexuality with little fact and all innuendo since Cesar never discussed any of his relationships because he took his private life very seriously.
I don't like Celebrity Biographies and wish I'd not read the few I had because it tarnishes them when you see them in a film. Having worked for Unicef for a number of years I can tell you most celebrities are spoiled self centered anxiety filled messes.

You can read a few pages from it on the Amazon read sample page. Easy pass for me.

Has there ever been a Burgess Meredith biography?

A couple of years ago my wife and I (that's us on the right) appeared for an interview on the main stage at Ace Comic Con in Chicago-- the Hall held over 2500 people and it was jammed full-- it wasn't because we were speaking-- the person on stage before us was Brie Larson (Captain Marvel) and the one scheduled after us was Chris Helmsworth (Thor) -- note I include the character names in case I spelled the celebrities names wrong-- so people were merely there to wait for that. I did manage to get a couple of laughs. This is the kind of event where they not only broacast it on their connected channel on the SciFy channel and they have gigantic TVs all over the place that plaster your face for the people in the back, so there's a lot of technical things that have to come together- multiple cameras, multiple microphones, etc.

As we're leaving I stopped and said to the lead technician a simple thanks for his hard work.

He barely looked up and said "No, you were absolutely great-- really great!"
He could tell by my reaction he had misheard me-- then he apologized and said he's so used to telling these people coming off the stage how great they are no matter how they do because they are all a mess- Brie Larson being an especially difficult one.

He actually took his headphones off and shook my hand for not being an anxiety ridden self absorbed nutball. It also helps that I'm not a celebrity, but it belabors my point in the earlier post.
