The 1966 Batman television series turns 60 today!

The beginning of this year also marks the 20th anniversary of 66Batman.com, where the 1966 Batman Message Board has officially lived for the past two decades. Before that, the message board existed behind the workshirtsales.com site, accessed through a hidden backdoor at
http://www.workshirtsales.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl (don't click the link it looooong dead) and owned by Dave Sutton — but that is another tale.

After that site’s eventual crash and burn in December of 2005, I decided to invest in the 66Batman.com domain name, hosting space, time, money, time, sanity, more time and so on. With the initial help of Lee Kirkham, we relaunched our own bat-shaped phoenix from those ashes.

A lot has changed and a lot has happened since then, and more change and happenings still lie ahead. Let’s enjoy the ride!

Happy Anniversary to the show and site! This site is near and dear to me, and the Video Bat Chats were a huge part of getting through COVID lockdown for me.

Anniversaries are a time to reflect and celebrate!

It's a sincere pleasure to celebrate the show and this board here with friends I have known for over 20 years.
To say this board has had a huge effect on my life is an understatement.

I know Ben will take this board into the future as enthusiastically and thoughtfully as Scott has done from it's creation.

I once left a lengthy post regarding what this show meant to me growing up, and how this message board and its members got me through some dark times (although you couldn't have known).

I am a lurker more than a commenter here... it's just that so many of you have great things to say or post, and I really don't wish to repeat the great stuff!
