This appears to be a computer render of the '66 Superman. I wonder when they will show the plastic prototype?
Andy Fish reported it is the Mike Allred artistic interpretation of the George Reeves Superman. Andy, did you happen to take a sharper picture then this one I found on the net?

No photos allowed and there was no prototype it was just on the back of some packaging.

This customizer created an interesting 1/12 George Reeves Superman.

Re: McFarlane Toys doing Batman 66 figures?
It doesn’t even have the same S symbol as George Reeves, nor looks nothing like him. I still say it looks more like Superman on the variant 52 covers in a Batman 66 theme.
Re: McFarlane Toys doing Batman 66 figures?
Just got the notice that Batgirl and the gas mask versions of Batman and Robin are shipping soon from Target.
Re: McFarlane Toys doing Batman 66 figures?
Batgirl is a terrific figure! I compared mine with the Mattel version based on Yvonne’s likeness. The only advantage of the Mattel sculpt is a resemblance to Yvonne’s mouth and jaw structure, and maybe the glitter paint. Other than that, the McFarlane is the easy winner.
Re: McFarlane Toys doing Batman 66 figures?
Target had the newest figures. Picked up Batgirl but fought the urge to lay down 40$ more dollars for different heads with breathers. I may regret that because they looked pretty cool. Batman had a very cool Batzooka too.
If someone wants any of these let me know. I'm not sure how hard it will be getting a Batgirl but I do know pre-orders are not available anymore.

I was supposed to be able to pick up the Batgirl figures at Target yesterday, but someone bought them before they set them aside from my online purchase.

They recently messed up an online order I placed. This makes me very reluctant to place ship-to-store orders in the future.
'66 Batman previews tomorrow on McFarlane Toys
This '66 Batman robot is a lot better than I was expecting!
It's a lot further in development than I had assumed. Hopefully they will show the '66 Superman next as they said tomorrow is all '66 Batman previews and we can find out if it's George Reeves or not.
***ADMIN EDIT: I have merged this into the ongoing McFarlane thread. BB. ***

Re: '66 Batman previews tomorrow on McFarlane Toys
Thanks for the heads up! I agree, this does look way better than I was imagining. I'm intrigued as to the scale of this figure - i'm guessing it will be akin to the size of the existing figures in the line, but it would be very cool if they went a little larger to give it the proportion that we see in the comic.BatToys wrote: ↑Thu Aug 03, 2023 4:15 pm This '66 Batman robot is a lot better than I was expecting!

McFarlane should make the '66 Batman Robot into a tin battery operated robot that walks and the bat symbol lights up.
Re: McFarlane Toys doing Batman 66 figures?
I found on YouTube a video of the McFarlane panel and there was a close-up in detail of the '66 Superman. Now this is still the computer render and it might look different from tomorrow's reveal, the render slightly looks like George Reeves and a bit like Joaquin Phoenix and Michael Shannon.
This might be a Yvonne Craig type situation where they don't want to deal for likeness rights so they base it on the '66 comic. But getting the likeness rights for George Reeves should have been easier compared to Yvonne giving WB restrictions.

Re: McFarlane Toys doing Batman 66 figures?
I went to my Target today and bought a Batgirl. The main body looks good and may be better than the Mattel but the Mattel Cape is much much better than the McFarlane Cape so I ended up feeling disappointed in the McFarlane figure.
Re: McFarlane Toys doing Batman 66 figures?
Has anyone tried putting the superior Mattel Yvonne Craig head and Cape onto the better McFarlane Batgirl body?BatmanBilly wrote: ↑Fri Aug 04, 2023 1:16 am I went to my Target today and bought a Batgirl.
