The only thing I can be sure of is that the belt is a Puette. He was the only one, to my knowledge, who made the buckles with a spike on the back that would go into a hole in the belt. I think everyone else used a clasp, or Velcro in the back.

Also, I'm thinking the cape may be a Clint. Clint's never seemed to close fully in the front, and always had that "V" gap. As for the cowl, it's anybody's guess where that came from.

The costume that Adam sold the person who has the letter of authenticity, could have very well been authentic. But sometimes owners will pull a switcheroo, and sell off non-original costumes but include the original letter along with it, claiming that the phony is the very costume Adam sold them. The owner keeps the original, and sells off the phony with the LOA.

Since there isn't any photo of the costume Adam sold on the letter of authenticity, it's anybody's guess if that's the actual one he sold. I'm betting not.

All things considered the letter means very little given the phrasing, Adam simply states that he played Batman between 1966 and 1968 and that he owned and wore the costume in question. It's left to the reader to decide if those two statements are related.

Buying a car owned and driven by a NASCAR driver doesn't mean you're buying a NASCAR.

Spot on Ben!

Semantics and verbal slight of hand.
Pointing that out to the museum didn't do me any favors with them!

There was a photo with the inventory from Adam. I think some of you older folks may remember the suit because of the "booties".
That is why the former owner threw in the stunt boots with the deal. No way to make the case those booties were authentic.

It is the suit being sold. I remember wishing I could bid on it back in the day! The suit looked much more authentic in the sale photos!!! Now I feel lucky to have dodged a bullet.

Yep I agree, a Mark Puette belt.

Good eye with the cape Wally! Alex had the same issue. Clint probably had a hand in on most of this because of the time frame. He always farmed out the construction of the costume so it could have been made by any seamstress in the US!

Yet another " Authentic Adam West Batman Costume" !! :D

Ahhhhh those booties! It's all flooding back, so is the dodgy photoshop job on the cowl, too!

Amazingly enough, eleven years on and the listing for the Batman and Robin suits that Heritage sold in 2005 are still archived on their site: http://entertainment.ha.com/itm/movie-t ... -pr092605e

I have to say, most of the suits the board members made here, look much better than this one does.

Those photos are great, Trevor!

Part of me feels like these shots are on the bank of the river Thames in London judging by the skyline?

Great find Ben! Nice hi res images!

Yes, good eye again Ben! A morning show in the UK IIRC. This tour suit in the UK shots has authentic elements.
I wish I could have recovered that cowl for him!!!
He was still in great crime fighting shape though!!

Adam still looks great in that cowl!
Thanks for the really cool pictures, i have never seen those before. Also, kind of a cool Robin suit for that era.

It took me a couple of moments to realise that Adam is actually holding his gloves in the first photo.
Judging by the 'purpled' effect on the material, do you think the gloves might be originals that are fading from the blue?
Also - would anyone make a guess as to the approximate year the photos are from?
