He paid including the buyers premium $27,500 for the Batcave according to Heritage Auctions. My guess adding shipping, sales tax, and other fees he paid around $30,500. Well worth it I say. It's an impressive piece plus it's from Hot Toys.

I had heard from an impeccable source Hot Toys made a Yvonne Craig Batgirl prototype and were considering a Julie Newmar Catwoman. They were going to put Batgirl into production but changed their minds after the low sales of the 1966 Batman. I was hoping the HT 1966 Batgirl was going to be in this auction.

OK. Let's try this again.

BTW, the "Bat Beam" was made by my son-in-law on his 3D printer as the Hot Toys prototype (as received) didn't have one.

There is also a Wes McCue Batman figure and a Hot Toys Robin.

The Chrome dash and detailed engine are very nice. I think the JazzInc should have used real chrome metal for rims, canopies, missiles, and beacon to be perfect. I think many would have been willing to pay higher for that.

Thank you for those Batmobile photos. The windscreen is yellowing, and I see the Bat-Beam antenna topper has been colored gold from the original silver seen at the comic cons. Very interesting mix of vintage classic series look and post show modern details. I guess the designers were confused on some of the dates of reference photos they were looking at? Had Hot Toys produced this model, I probably would have bought one? I forget the asking price right now? maybe not based on its inaccuracies. When JazzInc first stated and showed their early prototypes I was a no go at first and didnt order, but they listened to us experts and made the changes that were needed and then I was in for it's purchase.

John, HFFF1 related that the Bat-Beam was missing the topper when he received the Batmobile, so his son-in-law printed a 3D replacement.

The 89 was $600, so this ‘66 would have been in that range, maybe as high as $799.

Does the owner have the Jazzinc for reference? I wonder if it was smaller. Love the engine bay detail on this one!

Hot Toys Batmobile: 33 inches long, 11.5 inches wide
JazzInc Batmobile: 40.5 inches long (to tip of flame exhaust), 13.5 inches wide.

The JazzInc is 225÷6= 37.5" but not counting the flame.

Does the Trunk open? Does the steering wheel turn the front wheels?

Congrats on the Batcave acquisition. Truly a classic 1966 TV Batman diorama!

Steering wheel does not turn wheels on either the HotToys or JazzInc Batmobiles.
Wheels can be turned manually on both Batmobiles.
Trunk opens on JazzInc Batmobile, not on HotToys Batmobile.
Hood opens on HotToys Batmobile, not on JazzInc Batmobile.

Thats interesting. I would rather the truck open if I had to pick one since the trunk was shown more on show.

Great pics! Congrats on getting all of that.

Hello again fellow Bat-fans.

I had the opportunity to re-examine the Hot Toys Batmobile prototype and wanted to share my findings.

As you can see from the attached photos, the Trunk does open. In it, I found a battery compartment under the red cover. After installing 3 AA batteries, I turned on the switch. Lo and behold the exhaust area, Beacon and front headlights all lit up and worked.

Amazing!
