This is awesome! How great for Marilyn to get some fan-love after all these years.

I have to say that She is just as pretty, in Her own way, as Julie. A very sweet looking lady!

Same one as in Jimmy's pics-- goofy grin, eyeballs and oven mitts.

LOL, Andy.
I wish FTC would put out a 1943 Serial Batman. But that's hoping against hope, I suppose. I'm almost done with my 1940 Bat Man version. Next will be that "1943 Bat Girl" figure we discussed in another thread.

Well a long long time ago (cue Don McLean music) I worked up a prototype for licensing, originally doing it for 1/6 scale to be sold through a specialty toy maker who did a few serial and pulp figures and then downscaling it to Mego scale. It was far from perfect, but I was about 80% happy with the head sculpt.
A board member here has one of the only copies in existence, I don't even have one. Maybe he see's this and posts it or he sends me a pic if he doesn't want to be "outed".

I agree with Andy in that I prefer the oven mitts being that they were the original look. Funny enough, I remember that when I was a schnick I didn't even notice they were mitts and not gloves as I was just so over the moon that I had a genuine Batman figure who reflected what I saw in the comics and on Saturday morning TV like Scooby Doo or the Super Friends. The fact he had a removable cowl and could instantly become Bruce Wayne was an added bonus.AndyFish wrote: ↑Wed Jan 26, 2022 5:07 pmHa- I like the oven mitts even though they were the first thing to be lost.Larry A. wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 9:33 pmI agree, Jimmy Vale. It's a fun figure and they are cheap enough in the "loose in bags" that One can modify them without fear of ruining the carded ones. Check the sister site where One can get the proper looking "Bat Gloves" to get rid of the "Oven Mitts" that the figures come with. Check www.TVTOYS.COM for a LOT of neat after-market pieces. Hope this helps, Jimmy.JimmyVale wrote: ↑Mon Jan 24, 2022 7:14 pm
Haha, I am very satisfied with this figure! I haven’t had one of these little guys in my hands since I was maybe 10 or 11. Figures Toy Company did a good job with this reproduction. I believe the body is actually better than the original Mego version.
He and I are rewatching Season 2 together.
Cheers.
Although I much preferred the removable cowl Batman this is the Mego figure I remember the most, I must have had 5-6 of just this one (as well as the near entire run of Mego's) over the years.
