Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?
Happy to say that yesterday my McFarlane Multiverse Classic TV Series Batman arrived!

Of course my first act was to him in the center of a Round Table conference with the other Cinematic caped crime-fighters

And here he is with his other counterparts…..

(Of course the standard Batman figure from McFarlane’s ‘66 line HAD to go missing just before this one arrived!)

Still waiting for a good McFarlane Adam West sculpt/paint.
Multiverse 1966 Batman looks like he smelled Egghead’s rotten eggs.

In the meantime, we’re going to need a bigger cave…..

And maybe a bigger car!

Do you have the Mattel Batmobile? How well does he fit? Also, McFarlane is releasing a light and sound 66 Batmobile for 7” figures

Nightwing arrives by Ian McLean, on Flickr
The 6" McFarlane Nightwing (from the "Batman '66" comics) finally arrived, although he was ordered at the same time as Bookworm. I decided to add yellow trim to Nightwing's cuffs, as featured in the several places in the "Batman '66 meets Wonder Woman '77" comics. Posed with my custom Clark Kent and the Mattel Batgirl in the Wayne Manor library.
"Holy nostalgia, Batman!"

Just received my Hallmark “to the Batcave” re-issue of the ornament today! Very cool!
Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?
I just received Alex Zsolt's Batshield. He said it was the first one that he had made with the correct font that matches what they used on the show. And on Batman Day I opened up the Paragon FX Batradio replica I had been wanting for a long time.
I'm very excited to have these two replicas!

Sorry not quite '66 related but historically connected to it-- Detective Comics #83
For those of you that don't know, the original Alfred first appeared in BATMAN #16 as a very portly cockney accented amateur detective-- around the same time Columbia made the first Batman serial, in fact there is a train of thought that the serial writers came up with Alfred and DC Editors asked one of the writers of the series, Don Cameron, to write the first Alfred story before anyone got a look at the actor they had cast, William Austin.
The serial was very popular when it was released in July 1943 running all the way through October of that year-- and DC once again stepped in and asked the creators to make Alfred match Austin's physical looks which was very thin with a pencil mustache. In the comics Alfred decided he was too obese and headed off to a fat farm-- he returned in Detective Comics #83 (January 1944) now matching Austin's looks to the point that Bruce and Dick didn't recognize him.
Comic dates are tough to use to chart which came first, because in those days stories were mass produced and filed, sometimes running in BATMAN, sometimes running in DETECTIVE COMICS and sometimes running in WORLDS FINEST. So the order in which they were produced does not always represent the order in which they were published.
This issue is not only the first skinny Alfred, it's also the first Bat-Cave which WAS an invention of the movie serial.

I've not seen an "in-hand" photo of the cowl yet! Would you care to share, Lou?

Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?
I picked up both the 1966 Cowl Replica display and the Wall - Scaling Wonders, Keepsake ornament today.

Re: The Latest Batman Item You've Acquired?
Now you just need to insert a photo of Scott into the cowl to make it match the 1966 Batman sculpts.
