BatToys said his friend received this information from a HT executive, who informed him the Batmobile was being canceled due to expense and low demand. That's insider information, which means all the forum posts in the world (and i'm betting the posts are filled by numerous posts from a smaller group of regular members) does not alter the fact that this car does not have the interest justifying its production.

You might think its the most "iconic car in movie/television history," but a toy based on that car is not typically of interest to all who might be aware of it, or even among all 1966 Batman fans.

Its a toy replica--and expensive (if the source is to be believed), so for HT to drop plans means that the demand is not there, and certainly not seen as worth spending a small fortune on the toy.
