Fortunately, Tina, the sailing part will be just a matter of re-learning as I used to sail on a small sailboat.
As far as flying, it will probably be an ultralight ( U.S. rules), but I would like to make a "Batplane" version of it. :D
I'm going to start off with a groundschool and see how things go from there.
I appreciate Your encouragement, Tina. We all need to support each other in our endeavors, because if We DON'T, who will. To put it into Navy terms, "Here's to Us and Those like Us: Because No one will watch out for us!". That's a slight paraphrase, BTW.
Peace, Tina,
I'm glad you like my username. It is my truth, and I felt like it fit in with theme of the site (somewhat).
If you do ever make a "Batplane" version of it, I'd like to see that. That would be really cool!
What a great quote! I have no connection to the Navy, but I really like that quote anyway.

Gorshin and Larry I used to watch Rockford alot (before MeTV changed their schedule). I especially like the comedic chemistry between James Garner and Stuart Margolin. My favorite Rockford episodes are the ones with Angel!

Mine too, Tina. I don't normally name drop, but to me, "LLAP" reminds me of a Dear Friend who recently passed away. I corresponded with him for Years: Leonard Nimoy and "LLAP" was His final Salute to all of us before he died. Yes, Your moniker, IMHO DOE$ sort of fit in with the board.
For whatever its worth, Tina, That was a Navy Toast I paraphrased and I'm glad You like it. The original toasts ( as there were 7 of them, one of each day) were an interesting mini-look at the Navy culture of the time. Some have been replaced by others less offensive. Can You imagine today's Navy using "To Wives and Lovers, Lovers and wives: May they never meet!"? I can't!
As far as an ultra-light Bat Plane.....That will take a little bit of time, even after I get through ground school. But I will let You know how it goes.
OOPS! I have a guest at the front door....
I need to close for now. If You wish any further info on Navy toasts, please P.M. Me.
:D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

Did you really correspond with Leonard Nimoy? That is very cool! To me, Leonard made Star Trek. It would not have been Star Trek without him.
As for saying "LLAP", The only reason I did that was because you conclude all your messages with greetings so I felt like I should and that is the first one I thought of.
I heard that "Wives and Lovers" thing before... I think it was on either MASH or Hogan's Heroes... I can't remember.
But I have to agree with you, I do not think today's Navy will be using it. lol.
