I think that’s still the larger kit If you are talking about the Barry Ford post on Cultman. That's the 1/5 scale. I believe a 1/8 was to be released, but so far nothing.
I've just spotted that the 1/5th Scale Batgirl model is showing November 2nd 2022 as the release date according to Midtown... Intrigued to see if this happens after all this time. https://www.midtowncomics.com/product/1496034

Moebius model kits of Penguin and Catwoman have been added at Hobbyco, Sydney. Assembled and painted by Helen Grant.
I decided to tackle one more Moebius '66 Batman model, but since the face sculpt looked nothing like Cesar Romero and I'm not skilled enough to paint the pinstripes on the pants, my '66 Joker is taking on a more festive appearance.
That raises an issue I still don’t fully understand: there are good sculpts and there are terrible sculpts in the various 1966 Batman lines. Why don’t the companies whose sculpts have terrible facial likenesses hire the sculptors that made the good likenesses, or partner with the other companies that produce the products with good likenesses? Even if they are of different scales, the good sculpts can be scanned and resized.
Let’s say Company A pays a “good” sculptor $1000 (just using an easy figure) for the work. Company B also pays a “bad” sculptor $1000. If Company A and Company B partnered, each could pay a little less individually, say $750 each, while giving the “good” sculptor $1500 for the same work.
Regarding the sculpts, I believe it all has to do with likeness rights, and I'm guessing that the Estate of Cesar Romero refused to grant permission to use his likeness on the toys, comics, and animated movies. I don't think it has anything to do with terrible sculpts. Their hands were tied, and that's why on the Moebius Joker model the neck is too long, the face is too thin, and the mustache is all wrong.
I understand if the licensing of the likeness wasn’t available or obtained. I’ve seen some decent Romero likenesses, but maybe they are unlicensed. But, take McFarlane’s West and Ward, for example (and I apologize if it seems like I am hard on the line, but I see so many amazing McFarlane likenesses for characters with far fewer fans than the 1966 Batman). I’m sure McFarlane obtained proper licenses but what happened to the sculpts? Those two - the main characters, no less - look nothing like Adam or Burt. Couldn’t McFarlane have gone “halfsies” with NECA and the guy who did NECA’s sculpts? Or the Moebius models’ sculpter? (I get that hiring the Hot Toys sculpter may have been too much to ask.)
(And, btw, is it me, or is the Penguin’s complexion practically the same as Eartha’s Catwoman?)
