Car Show Appearances in the 70's & 80's

Post by marmaly »

I thought I would start off a thread for us to post our pics of Adam and Burt during the lean years - i.e. car show appearances with Morganna the Kissing Bandit and such. These are from a 1981 appearance in Toronto. I can post more if there is interest. Enjoy!
This one always fascinated me - a view under the cowl!

Great pictures! They actually look like they are from the mid 80s.

Thanks for posting the pics :) Love seeing them.

I saw Adam at a car show in the mid-70s, but unfortunately, not only can I not find my pics, but the slides all turned red :( Bad processing on most of our slides back then. Even my Bronson Cave slides are red :( Actually I had no idea I was at the Batcave back in the 70s. I think we were just told that it was a place where Hollywood filmed some stuff. I'd have been ecstatic back in the 70s if I'd have known it was the Batcave.

I have just one question about the car show I was at, though. I've seen two people on the internet (elsewhere, not on the boards) mention being at the same show I was at, and they both mentioned the Batmobile being there. I don't remember the Batmobile being there at all. I wonder if it's possible that it was not there all of the days and was shipped in after I had attended? Anybody know if that ever happened back then? I just don't remember it being there, and I haven't been able to find the slides to prove if I have a picture of it or not.

Robin seems to have dropped a glove.
Do either of those outfits still exist? That cowl is missing the stripe across the bridge of the nose so it could be identified. Is Burt's outfit the post-show one he later sold?

Gleeps, don't give up on those slides - many times they can be digitally color-corrected with Photoshop.

Here's a couple more that might help with costume identification.
