Adam & Burt autograph session question
So I am finally getting to go to a convention where Adam, Burt & Julie are attending. (Denver Comic Con) Photo ops are separate from autograph session, I've emailed the DCC. and asked about the autograph sessions to see if they could tell me if when purchasing an autograph will they autograph more than one item. Their answer was pretty much it was up to the actor. So my question is...that because many of you have attended conventions with our terrific trio, would any one know if they would do a personalized photo and another item?
Thanks
Jim
Thanks

Re: Adam & Burt autograph session question
I saw Adam & Burt last year in San Antonio, TX. I purchased the Batman '66 VIP package that included an "autograph session". Both actors allowed only one item per prepayed autograph. Extra items for signature were an additional fee (although not the full price). I was a little disappointed, expecting at least two items per person. Also, Adam's manager raised the price that same day, creating issues for those of us that prepayed. (I'm not sure we're allowed to mention price, so feel free to PM for details).
I was not, however, disappointed in the signatures. Both Adam and Burt personalized the picture that is my avatar, both were gracious.
Enjoy the con. Having watched them as a tot and meeting them at the age of 44 was a little surreal and it went by in an instant.

Re: Adam & Burt autograph session question
I,VE said it before,,,,but man was i lucky enough to meet both ADAM & BURT,,among other BAT-STARS in the 1980s & 90 s
,,,,Before they started charging $$$$$$$$ for autographs & photo ops !!

Re: Adam & Burt autograph session question
Adam's manager raised the price in the middle of the Rhode Island Comic- Con. last year as well and would not accept the prepaid Batman 66 VIP passes. There's a thread on this forum about it. I did the photo op, and while it was very rushed by his manager, it was great to take a pic with my childhood heroes next to the Batmobile. Looking forward to the Monster Mania Convention in Cherry Hill. Hopefully, Julie Newmar will be joining Adam and Burt.
Re: Adam & Burt autograph session question
I just returned from the Phoenix Comicon today. I met Burt Ward and Julie Newmar yesterday, Friday. BOTH were VERY nice and spent time talking, Julie even posed for a picture. Burt had no problem with people taking a picture of him signing the item, but charged more for a photo op. Both Julie and Burt signed 3 items for me without any hesitation, super people.
I met Adam today, Saturday he was also very nice and chatted for a minute about the Bat Shield I had. He signed three items for me as well with no problem. Adam did insist on personalization which was ok for me.. I had heard prior to that there was some talk about him only signing one item, and if you wanted additional items signed you were going to have to stand in line again. This wasn't the case, one of the handlers said that Adam stated "these people wait in line long enough I will sign what they have." Even if he had only signed one item there were plenty of nice people in line with relatives that offered to help in the event he signed only one item.
The price was the same as listed on the event page.
Hope that helps.

Re: Adam & Burt autograph session question
Can someone explain how the prices go up during the course of an event, even to people who have prepaid?
Maybe I've misread what happened, but this seems really odd to me....

How do prices go up during a con even after pre=paying? Easy answer - Adam's manager Fred.

Re: Adam & Burt autograph session question
Gravette, I just drove into Denver with tix for this weekend's Con. I met Adam and Fred at the Chicago Con in 2010. The price stayed the same while I was there. Granted I only had the nerve to ask Adam to sign one item. We'll see what happens this weekend.

Re: Adam & Burt autograph session question
I also went to San Antonio TX Alamo con last year & witnessed the unneeded stress Adam's manager Fred caused by raising the prices & not accepting the 66 VIP passes. I didnt feel it was really Adam causing this issue, it was Fred. I definately understand why so many people are bothered by this because not only did the people that paid in advance have to wait in a huge line just to get a refund for the autograph price they had already paid for but then they also had to pay a higher price than they expected. Also half way through the line for autographs Fred decided to charge the last half of the line more for the exact same thing the first half just ahead had just paid less for. I understand why people in general dislike Adam's manager. He seems to always be very negative & incredibly greedy. While I understand he's in the business to make money, he needs to understand people don't like feeling cheated or treated unfairly & it puts Adam in a very bad position. Also as a side note another thing that irritated a lot of fans was during the Q&A session several people had a video camera or their phone camera so they could film themselves asking their childhood heroes a question & film their response, however Adam's manager Fred decided to ban recordings & photography during the Q&A session & threatened if anyone was caught filming anything they would be escorted out of the Q&A. However every other Q&A during the entire con welcomed photography & video with open arms & I see footage of all over youtube of Adam & Burt from other cons where several people filmed it with no issues. Does anyone else have any opinions on this. Believe me I am not trying to bash Fred in any way I am just voicing my concern & asking if this is just something that happened one time that we can give him the benefit of the doubt for or if this happens all the time.T Butler wrote:I saw Adam & Burt last year in San Antonio, TX.
