A 1943 cape and cowl from WS2... with a twist.
Lynne knocked this outta the park!!!
The twist is the black... The 43 film featured it in blue. This was a client request and I think it takes this to a whole new level!
It is a silk fabric with a great finish and body. The cape sounds like the rustling of a million bat wings when it moves.Fun stuff!!!

I think, and Chuck please correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm the guy who got them to make the '43 in the first place. I love the black, but I already have the blue-- going to need a blue cape and belt though. I knew this subject was going to cost me money before I even clicked the link.

Those are absolutely beautiful pieces and certainly evoke the look of the B&W serial nightime shots.
BUT, I still love my blue 43 cape and cowl from WS2 along with the belt and gloves. I need to place an order for the tights and boots to fInish out my display.
Andy, you really need to at least get the cape before Lynne decides to not make them anymore as they are SO labor intensive. They take quite a bit longer than their normal 8 to 10 week delivery time so patience is required. I appreciate your initial order to them for the 43 cowl that got the ball rolling in the first place.

That’s Batman in the movies. Fantastic seeing it in Black and Gray. I can hear the customer on the phone, “It’s nice, but does it come in Black?
Some days you just can't get rid of a ... SHARK!

I think its great because it combines the look of both serials.

Thanks Guys!!!
I think the client is eventually making a fan film after he hits the fast approaching comicon in the UK.
I really like the "first appearance" look to these pieces.
Andy, we had a client that had commissioned the 43 and the 49 suits from us for display.
We got the 49 B&R suits done (slightly modified for display) and had just made the 43 cape and cowl when the commission ended.
I can't remember if we listed them or in the course of our convesations you swept in and grabbed it!
We photographed it on a female form as well. The fabric is generally used for high end gowns and it would make a darn sexy "Batgirl" of some sort.
The finish on it made me ponder if Jan Kemp saw the 43 suits either on film or in person at Western Costume and doubled down on the satin finish.
Just a thought...

Well, I know what I'm making my 39-49 Batgirl outfit's cape out of.
Cheers.
