Bookworm "Delight of Cooking" cookbook prop

Post by rsaffle »

To steal the Batmobile for a grand scheme, the Bookworm prepares a bizarre deathtrap for the Dynamic Duo
by making a two-story tall "The Delight of Cooking", cook book that captures our hero's inside and tries to cook them to death!

"While Gotham City Burns"
S1.E30

I always enjoy recreating art & signs from the show. I did the cover and interior graphic.
If you want a copy of the art it is posted here with a few others...

Excellent work and very kind of you to share it here.
I've always loved this prop. It really spoke to the comic roots of the world of Batman.

WELL DONE!!!

Thank you Chuck! I agree about the prop. I wish they had used more of these large traps in the show.

Another home run by Mr Saffle! I'm going to print a scaled version of this to go with my 3.75" Bookworm figure!

Thank you for not only continuing the great work, but also continuing your very generous attitude towards sharing with us all here, Sir.

Very nicely done, sir. Now, if we could only figure out what soup recipe Bookworm used to impress Robin. "Darn good soup!" ;)

Y'know, now that I think about it, this wonderful prop you've created reminds me of how when I was really young watching this particular episode I was always amazed at the sheer size of a giant book just sitting there on a city street - kind of like with Penguin's giant umbrella in that other episode or Riddler's giant cake aka 'the diabetic's nightmare'. The sheer exaggerations just made this series so fun.
"Hmmm... I don't like the twist this joke is taking. Let us away! Let us away!"
